Why I want an iPhone 3Gs, not an Apple IIgs

Apple, the company I'm compelled to send all my money to, even without Steve doing the svengali keynote. Apple... Way back when, they came up with the Apple IIgs.  It was an Apple II with another processor in it that made it much quicker.  That's not what they did to make the iPhone 3Gs.  It's supposed to be faster, but that is not reason I want it.

The phone finally has VOICE CONTROL.   Finally, after 2 years!!! But us poor people who have old iPhones ( that's plural folks -- an original and an extra crispy, I mean 3G ) will not get the feature.  We will have to buy yet another iPhone.  Can't wait to do it though.  Then I will have enough old Apple products to recreate the domino commercial.  I'll think I'd stage it on my bookshelf made of old Macs.

The lost phone finder feature that they showed today in the keynote was also cute, but not cute enough to make me spend the money on a Mobile Me subscription.  Now if you could track multiple objects for that price, maybe I'd consider it.  Plus you can make it beep from Mobile Me even when the sound is turned off!  How cool is that?  I'm still not biting. Now where did I sit my iPhone?

Sign me up for the new iPhone.  I see more buckets of money headed toward Cupertino. Thanks for another product I can't live without.
