Goodbye sweet ogo
Today I got an SMS from Cingular Customer Service.
It read :
Cingular Service Message: Ogo service will expire
10/10, for more information please call
1-800-318-5777. Hearing impaired contact
NCCDSupport@Cingular.com
I was thinking, maybe the message should be from
Cingular No-Service since it seemed that they
were going to discontinue my service........
When I called, they said "Oh, yeah, ogo service
will end on 10/10. And I could have $75 off any
phone and go on the no voice, 14.99 1000 text
messages, 5 mb data plan. " That doesn't sound that
good to me. Going from unlimited SMS to 1000 a
month is a problem, since I have my email and some
rss feeds going to my ogo.
I got my ogo on day 1, a few months before AT&T
Wireless was assimilated into Cingular. I'm not
happy about this at all. I'm already missing my ogo,
and it still works.
I see engadget mobile already had this a few days ago,
I guess I'm slow. It never made it to the top of
engadget. Here's the letter that Cingular was supposed
to send us ogo users.
